Summary:
Diagnose, service, repair, recondition and assemble new and used customer and dealership equipment including small handheld equipment to mowers, ATV's and other small engines.
Maintains and operates shop equipment and tools, performs quality work, as quickly and safely as possible.
Must be able to learn and use lap-top/tablet communications software.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Diagnose, repair, recondition, service, and assemble equipment as assigned by Service Manager.
Repairs equipment, including but not limited to, all small tractors, small engines, lawn mowers, all-terrain vehicles.
Maintains accurate and easy to read records of work performed.
Completely disassembles and inspects equipment as quickly as possible, so parts may be ordered promptly, and machine work can be properly quoted and scheduled.
Recommends any additional necessary repairs to Service Manager and/or Customer.
Stays up to date with technical changes and participates in continuing education with factory service schools.
Fabricates and welds metal parts together when necessary.
Makes service calls as assigned by Service Manager.

Education/
Experience:
Preferred Associate degree (A.
A.
) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and/or 3 years of minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of or the ability to gain knowledge of Microsoft Internet Explorer or an equivalent.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid Driver License Preferred:
Technical school certification; certified air conditioning repair certification and forklift certification.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; work in high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and outdoor weather conditions.
The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
