Used Sony A7 Digital Audio Tape (DAT) player/recorder with rack-mount. Item powers up and turns on, but it has not been and cannot be tested due to a lack of compatible DAT tapes. As such, it is sold AS-IS, for parts, repair, or possibly as a working unit. FAQ: Q: Does the unit work? A: It turns on, but with no DAT tapes to play it can't be tested. Q: Is the unit functional? A: Power goes to the display and the DAT mechanism ejects. Nothing more can be ascertained without a test tape. Q: What repairs does the unit need? A: Unknown. It might be in perfect working order, but since it can't be tested, it must be sold as "for parts/not working" to prevent customers who cannot read from making returns. Q: Where did the unit come from? A: A thrift store. Other rack-mounted items were for sale alongside it, so it must have been used in a studio at one point.
